About

Georgia Mountain Hapkido (GMH) is specifically and exclusively a center for advanced HapKiDo black belt and self defense training.

Our motto is "We have more fun than normal people"....Here's why:

GMH is a private club and is in no way commercial or profit motivated. We do what we do simply for the love of doing it.

We do not allow egos to come into play during training.

GMH is a member of the USKMAF (United States Korean Martial Arts Federation), is certified by the KidoHwe and is proud to be one of the Federation Schools under Grandmaster J.R. West of West Hapkido

GMH's chief instructor, in addition to holding the rank of 5th dan in HapKiDo has been certified as a phase one instructor in Krav Maga under the direction of the Israeli Krav International (IKI), an organization which is dedicated to simplified and effective self defense techniques which are tested in combat and on the streets of Israel on a daily basis.

Our membership is small by design and consists of talented and dedicated HapKiDo black belts with many years of experience and training.

It is important to understand that our mission is acquiring skill and knowledge. Acquiring rank is, at best, secondary.
